Instructions

Create a game that is art. What makes a game art? That's up to you.

Additional Rules

  1. You can work as a team with other people. However, prizes are per entry. So if your team wins a prize, you'll have to decide what to do with it.
  2. You can't use a game you're already working on, unless you started it less than a week before the start of the contest. You can, however, use pieces of code from your past games or from examples, just as you normally would when making a game.
  3. You can't use graphics from other games, commercial or otherwise, unless you modify them beyond recognition.
  4. You can enter more than one game.

Judging

Each judge will simply choose his or her favorite games from the entries, with the theme in mind. The criteria aren't strict this time.

How to Enter

When you finish your game, create a new topic in this forum. The title of your post should be this:

[game title]  by  [GMG user name]

You can edit your post as many times as you'd like until the deadline. Be sure that the link to your game works on the day of the deadline.

Prizes

Prizes will be vouchers or gift certificates of some type. And, of course, the prestige of winning a GMG contest.

Update: As an additional prize, the top three entries will receive the commercial version of Immortal Defense (an excellent game, if you haven't tried it). Thanks, RinkuHero.

Questions

If you have any questions, post them in this topic in the forums. We'll update this page with rule clarifications as needed.
