Game Overview:

Arcade style fun where you must kill wave after wave of enemy aliens!

Graphics: 9/10

In general, the graphics were all of good quality, and definitely above-average. However, there were some minor issues that I had with them, the name one being that I disliked the looks of the main character sprite, finding it too aberrant. Not to mention, I found some of the sprites in the cut-scenes too simple for my tastes. However, I did like all the other graphics quite a bit, regardless of everything else.. I especially like the energy-beam animation because of how fluid and smooth it was.

Music: 10/10

When playing through the game, the music blended in so well with the atmosphere of the game that for the most part, it was seemingly unperceived to me. I would often find myself humming along or tapping my feet to the rhythm of the music even; something I do rarely if at all.

Sound Effects: 2/10

Personally, I didn’t think the screaming sound effect for the aliens dying was well chosen. I simply cannot envision aliens screeching as they’re shorn into pieces. Unfortunately, there weren’t many sound effects besides the aliens screeching, so the game had, overall, very poor sound effects.

Controls: 9/10

The only problem with the controls was the fact that the jump button was the space button and not the up-arrow key. This often messed me up as I tried to dodge incoming enemies, but that was the only control issue I had throughout the entire game.

Game Play: 8/10

The game play in itself was pretty good. The controls were good and the action was fast paced. You could do two moves—a forward slash that killed just one enemy and firing an energy beam, which flew through several enemies.

Replay Value: 2/10

Perhaps for those of you that have a lot of spare time on your hands, you may just pick up on this game some time; but I don’t believe that the majority of people would do that. There isn’t much reason for you to play it again…considering all you do is go around killing aliens.

Overall: 6/10

Overall, I the game was okay. Being as it is, for every level, you cannot move around as the enemies come out from the sides—just like in most simple side-scrolling arcade games. Personally, such games are not so bad to me because they at least have hi-score tables--however, because ambiguous onslaught had no such hi-score table, it wasn't that fun. And since the storyline was so simplistic, it in no way helped the game out, and was more or less just...there.

As you all know, in most arcade games, there is the motivation of at least getting a high score, or in other games, at least having a storyline intriguing enough to get you hooked and playing. With no such motivation in both cases, thanks to the afore-mentioned lack of a hi-score table and simplistic storyline, the game had no motivation at all for you to keep on playing.

But, once again, I did at least like the graphics and the soundtrack, so I have to accredit the game with impressing me there.

Game Highs: Pretty decent graphics, great soundtrack, good game-play
Game Lows: No motivation to play, not very good sound effects

There are some bugs that need to be worked out, such as losing and coming back with negative numbers, or dying and landing on another alien. Also, all you had to do was press A over and over and you won the level, only having to move around occasionally to avoid stuff. Plus, I don't get a kick out of dodging old guys. Pretty cool graphics and music, but the gameplay isn't so great.

Yeah, it would have been better with a high score table, but it's still fun to play now and then.

A glitch that happened to me is when I lost, I started it up again, and only had one life. I lost, and I started it up again, this time I had negative three lives, and lost automatically.

Also, I think there should have been some intructions at the beginning of each level on how to do it. On the second level, I thought I was going to be slashing enemies again, but I was mistaken, and lost four lives before I realized what I was doing. Luckily, I still made it through with the one life.

Awesome graphics and gameplay, though, good job.

Graphics - old nintendo graphics is better
music - exelent, because it's Aria's soundtracks just redone in midi. 1st - Ulitza Roz, 2nd - Torero and another one I didn't recorgnize.
Gamplay - boring, easy and game too short (realy doesn't matter because it gets boring anyway)
Small things I didn't like in this game:
after one gameover the lives become negative at second try
in second level if die, you havent got protection and can die when landing
why outside room player dies, can't there be any border or something?
At hardest level each stage starts with 9 lives

Only good thing about this game is music. I can listen to Aria for all day. Aria forever!

Dude, this game was awsome, how in the world did you draw those cool graphics?
Only 1 problem:
Why don't the aliens did with tons of blood and gore?
I was dissapointed by that part.
Getting ready to play Enviromental Overthrow, hope its better

...yeesh...
Well, the only onslaught was of the character. It was quite annoying that whenever I reappeared, I'd land right on an alien. Grr... Also, I do wish there was a save feature. And, one more thing, I do wish you would explain how to move on to the next level. After beating the first level, I found mysalf running and being unable to shoot! BLEEAAARRGH!!!

Quite good game. Nice graphics and gameplay. But the idea isn't that good. I guess I agree with all what is in Serrellious review.

Nice game. The strong points are the music and graphics. Lacking some storyline though. The controls sometimes weren't responsive, with the slash attack. I would rate it a 7.49 (so it wouldn't round up :D)

The game is pretty good, not the best... The graphics are nice, although the boss is a little glitchy. You can walk right through him. But overall, it's a nice game.

The games okay, but i don't like the idea you have to slay Aliens... What did they do?
As Alien i know it's fun to invade planets, but we don't kill people. Well, at least i don't...
